Situated about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the heart of Athens, off the main highway, you drive onto the dedicated road into the heart of the small fishing village of Korfos. The village has magnificent sunrises over the sea and Korfos Bay Apartments faces the sunrise.
Korfos is 15 minutes from Sofikon, a large town, with an active amphitheater, and many cafes and restaurants in the mountains. Sofikon is also the location of a dude ranch for longer visits and ranch activities.
Korfos Bay is centrally located to conduct day trips to:
- Epidavros (approximately 30 minutes away), the active ancient Greek Theater, at which evening productions of classic Greek Tragedies are conducted;
Korinth (40 minutes away), a local metropolitan city for shopping; - The Ancient fortress of Old Corinth (45 minutes away) and ancient ruins from Ancient Greece;
- Loutraki (40 minutes away ) for night life, Casino, and other amenities;
- Napflion (90 minutes) – the ancient Venetian seaport and fortress with great nightlife, with elegant cafes, restaurants and sight-seeing venues .
- The islands of Poros, Hydra, Spetses, Agistri, Aegena and Methena are very close and you can drive to nearby ports to take a short ferry ride to these destinations for day trips. Up to two hours by car to reach the ferries for these islands.
- There are many paths for hiking, including the old road, up the mountain to the ancient monastery, and another path through the pine trees with vistas of the bay up to the town of Sofikon.
- Biking is possible along the seaside path.
The apartment units all overlook the bay and the islands of Aegina and Agistri, with Methana in the far background. Many local fishermen bring in fresh fish daily.
